Wait and Hope

"Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord." Psalm 27:14

Good News and Bad News

Which one do you want first? Well, I always like to get the bad news first so that’s what I’ll do.

The bad news: The last batch of referrals only went through Oct 24th. That’s only 8 days worth of log in dates as opposed to the average of 14 days the CCAA has been doing. What that means for us is that if they go back to the average of 14 days of LID’s per month we’ll still get our referral in May; however, that does not look likely. It appears that it is more probable that we will have to wait until June. Hopefully things won’t get worse and set us back even more.

The good news: We have finished with everything we need to do for the second filing of our I171H form from Homeland Security. We got our fingerprints, new physicals, home study update, and of course paid them more. This means we should receive our new I171H sometime in the next 4 weeks. That is good news because we cannot bring our daughter home without that piece of paper!

You might notice that the count down on our website has been changed to reflect the new June referral guesstimate. I think this is more realistic but I sure hope we're wrong about it!
