Wait and Hope

"Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord." Psalm 27:14

A Piece of Cake

Greg knows me so well! He got me the best Christmas present...a beginner cake decorating class. I loved it, I had so much fun. It's been a long time since I've done something crafty and creative and it felt really good. I think that when the next class starts in May I'm going to take it too. Take a look below to see my progression from the first class to the fourth (that was the last one). I think Greg and the people in my office enjoyed eating my homework!

Rocking horse cake covered in icing stars.

Ok, I'm not a big fan of clowns but it was the assigment. In spite of my icing being a little to soft for the clowns I was pretty happy with this one.

Each cake mix makes two of the 8 in round cakes so I had an extra cake from the previous week. I decided to practice.

Well, I made it through to the final class. We all got certificates and a gift of a decorating tool from the instructor. This was the final cake! Those roses are hard to do. I have a new appreciation for people that decorate cakes now!

Thanks! Sure I'll make a cake for Zach! I really enjoy doing this but it's too tempting to have cake in the house all the time! :)
